The Photographer

As an amateur astronomer and astrophotographer, I've spent countless nights under dark skies, capturing photons that have traveled millions of years to reach my camera sensor. This portfolio represents my ongoing journey to document and share the incredible celestial objects visible from Earth.

Equipment & Technique

My images are captured using a variety of telescopes and specialized astronomical cameras, often requiring exposures lasting several hours. Each photograph is the result of combining dozens or even hundreds of individual frames, carefully aligned and processed to reveal details invisible to the naked eye.

Telescopes ranging from wide-field refractors to deep-sky reflectors
Cooled astronomical cameras for maximum sensitivity
Computerized equatorial mounts for precise tracking
Narrowband and broadband filters for capturing specific wavelengths

Image Processing

Raw astronomical data requires extensive processing to reveal the beauty hidden within. I use a combination of specialized software to calibrate, stack, and enhance the images while maintaining scientific accuracy. The goal is to present these cosmic wonders as they truly appear, bringing out details that would otherwise remain invisible.
